Laurel DeMaula, DVM, BA
Dr. DeMaula grew up in Los Angeles loving science and working with animals. She graduated from the University of Virginia and accepted a commission into the US Army serving in the Quartermaster Corp. in Panama. Upon completion of her service, she attended and graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After practicing large and small animal medicine, she decided to concentrate on small animal medicine and surgery. She loves working with dogs and cats and treating each species special needs and differences. She has a special interest in feline medicine. Her husband, Chris, helps her keep track of their 2 daughters, 3 cats, and 2 Aussies, Darwin and Sydney.
Dr. Elizabeth Lopez, VMD
Dr. Lopez grew up in Hershey and received her BA from Penn State University. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania and performed an internship at Texas A & M. She practiced mixed animal medicine for several years before deciding to concentrate her efforts on small animal medicine and surgery exclusively. Her special interests are surgery and diagnostic cytology. In her spare time she enjoys helping her husband work on their dairy farm, spending time with her daughters, and caring for her horses, dogs, and cats.
Dr. Cynthia Worrall, DVM
Dr. Worrall grew up in Pottstown. She received her BS in biology from Albright College in 1993. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997, she returned to Pennsylvania. Since then, Dr. Worrall has been working in private practice. While she enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery, Dr. Worrall has a special interest in preventive medicine and senior care. She likes working with families to ensure that their pets remain as happy and healthy as possible throughout all their life stages.
Dr. Worrall and her husband, Al, have two children, Alex and Cali. In her free time, she can often be found cheering her children on at band competitions and soccer games. Dr. Worrall is an avid reader who also likes to bake and spend time with her three furry kids.
Sophia grew up in Connecticut and has had a passion for working with animals ever since she can remember. She jumped right into the veterinary medical field as soon as she graduated high school and comes to us with more than 8 years of experience and a diverse background in shelter, specialty, and emergency medicine. She has a special interest in anesthesia, dentistry and phlebotomy. Sophia lives in Montogomery county with her daughter, boyfriend, 3 English Shepherds and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and kayaking with her dogs and also trains and competes in agility and obedience with her English Shepherds.
RaeAnn has only been with our hospital since April 2017 but has 15 years experience as a veterinary nurse. She loves all companion animals but has a strong interest in felines and making their visits as low stress as possible. When not at work, RaeAnn is busy taking care of her 2 children, 2 cats, and Great Dane. Additionally, she cares for many foster animals through the Berks Animal Rescue League.
Amanda grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Fine Art. However, she has been working in the veterinary field for over 25 years. Amanda loves working with clients and has a special interest in animal behavior and nutrition. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, obsessing over David Bowie, and painting pet portraits for clients. She currently lives in Royersford with her husband, two sons, her dog, Pixel, her 2 cats, Dale and Emma Tagger, and her plethora of fish tanks and plants.
Jessie has had a passion for animals since a very young age. She graduated from Owen J Roberts High School in 2012 and started her career in boarding facilities, which eventually landed her in the Veterinary field as a technician for the past 3 years. She has a special interest in phlebotomy and orthopedics. When she is not working she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and listening to music. She currently lives in Chester County with her giant 4 legged baby Beau, an Alaskan Malamute/ Lab mix, and her bottle fed kitten Freddie.
Brittany grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Boyertown Senior High School in 2012. Her first job working with animals at PetsMart sparked her interest in the veterinary field, which then led her to attend Lehigh Carbon Community College where she earned her degree as a certified veterinary technician(CVT). During her schooling she gained more hands-on experience by working her way up from kennel attendant to veterinary assistant. Brittany has a special interest in parasitology. She currently lives in Montgomery County with her boyfriend and extremely spoiled cat, Hunni. In her spare time, she loves taking her cat on walks, playing video games and binge watching Netflix.
AmyMae comes to us with 5 years of experience as a veterinary technician. From an early age she had always had a passion for helping animals and loves that she is able to make a positive impact in their lives and in the lives of their owners. Outside of work, AmyMae enjoys spending time with her family, painting, and reading. She has two cats, named Jasmine and Gigi.
Lisa attended Penn State University and Shippensburg University majoring in Biology before graduating from Manor College with an Associates of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2003. She has practiced veterinary medicine since 2001. She enjoys working with clients to educate them about health care and their pets. She has a special interest in surgery.
Cheryl grew up in Trappe and graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School. She has been in the veterinary field for over 30 years and has special interests in orthopedics,pain management, infectious diseases as well as learning about new technologies and treatments in the veterinary field. Her love of the mastiff breed is no secret , but enjoys working with all our fur babies! She enjoys vacations at the shore,girl trips and dog shows, but her favorite times are spent with her family and dogs.
Regina graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School and comes to RVH with 20 years of experience in the customer services and medical fields. She loves to help animals and children that need special care. She loves to travel to see friends and her free time is spent keeping up with her husband, son, daughter, and their 3 dogs.
